Global Summit 2010: A Celebration of Faith in Action
Making a Difference in Haiti and the Philippines
Imagine one day finding your church destroyed, your home ruined and most of your congregation homeless, missing or dead. With tears, you turn to God for help. And help comes. Just as supplies are running out for hundreds of people camping on the church site, a truck filled with food, water and medicine arrives. But much more remains to be done…
That is the experience of Jorel Claude of the Port-au-Prince (Haiti) Church of Christ, after the recent earthquake there. Koko Enrile and the Manila (Philippines) church have also suffered greatly, from a storm that exceeded Hurricane Katrina in force.
In both countries, a world apart, HOPE worldwide rushed desperately needed supplies to survivors and is planning a multi-phase longer term response. These have been some of the finest hours of our long partnership with the International Churches of Christ. Please join us at the 2010 HOPE worldwide Global Summit to hear the stories from Jorel and Koko, firsthand, of how your support is making a difference in Haiti and the Philippines.
